Who am I?

With undergraduate degrees in both Psychology and Biological Sciences, as well as my certificates in both Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Direction, I delight in life-long learning.

I love the outdoors and nature, photography, a good book, camping and canoe trips as well as all creatures great and small. I’m a word-crafting prayer poet, as well as an aspiring knitter and an inconsistent runner. I have an interest in spiritual formation, as well as emotional health and how it impacts and connects with our spiritual health.

I live with my husband and my three teens and I’ve been a part of the same congregation for over 20 years having served in worship ministry and prayer ministry for many of those years.

Current member of the Emmaus Society of Spiritual Directors.

What is spiritual direction?

In spiritual direction, I desire to provide a safe space to provide non-judgmental, compassionate support. I will listen attentively, ask questions and offer contemplative practices to help you get in touch with your God-given, Spirit-connected inner wisdom and navigate the hard parts of life. Through our conversation, prayer and exploration of contemplative Christian spiritual practices, I hope to help you increase self-awareness, self-compassion, and foster spiritual growth in order to live a meaningful and attentive life with your heart tuned towards finding the God-moments in daily life.

The name Three Strands comes from Ecc. 4:12 and refers to the idea that in every direction session there are three members present: you, me, as a spiritual companion, and the Holy Spirit.

$55 / session of 50 minutes.

If cost is a significant barrier, please let me know during our initial meeting so that we might work something out.

I offer virtual sessions as well as in-person sessions depending on location.
